Consulting Services Internship

SpecterOps is a cybersecurity solutions and services provider specializing in deep knowledge of adversary tradecraft to help clients detect and defend against sophisticated attackers. We are seeking motivated and curious students or recent graduates to join us for a summer internship. If you have a passion for cybersecurity, we want to hear from you! This year the summer internship program will run for 11 weeks beginning June 2, 2025 & ending August 15, 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit for the entire length.

Internships at SpecterOps aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. You will partner closely with industry experts and be exposed to innovative solutions, research and tools that will further enhance your knowledge and prepare you to add value as a professional in our industry.

We are seeking interns to join our Consulting team where they will be working closely with experienced consultants to learn how an information security consulting organization operates and take on a project to solve an issue or need in the department. Interns can also look forward to attending at least one of the scheduled SpecterOps training courses led by experts in the industry.

Salary Range: $35.00 hourly

Location: This position is remote, based in the U.S.

• Candidate must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; we do not currently sponsor immigration visas.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist Red Team Operators and Penetration Testers on real-life engagements.
• Collaborating with the SpecterOps Internal and Community Products team, as well as the Technical Services team to identify and complete a Capstone Project over the course of the internship.
• Building your knowledge of attacker tradecraft and detection techniques by taking top-of-the-line hands-on training courses taught by industry practitioners.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline
• Ability to commit to an 11-week internship (20-30 hours weekly)
• Desire to embody our core values of passionate curiosity, consistent improvement, empathy, sustainability, humility, and empowerment through transparency.
• Introductory level programming/scripting experience

Nice to haves

• Experience completing online or in-person CTF competitions (Hack the Box, TryHackMe, etc.)
• Current member of a campus Cyber Security club
• Previous Cyber Security-related conference attendance
