Data Analyst Intern

Responsibilities: 

• Deploy applications or scripts to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Set up and manage cloud resources such as virtual machines, storage, and containers.
• Extract and parse data from JSON APIs.
• Transform and structure extracted data to make it usable in Python.
• Work with various file formats, such as CSV, XML, and Excel, to integrate data into scripts.0
• Use Python libraries like pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib/seaborn for data manipulation and visualization.
• Develop RESTful APIs to interact with datasets or applications.
• Design and manage relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Integrate APIs with front-end or other systems.
• Present findings and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document processes, analyses, and project outcomes
• Participate actively in team meetings to generate ideas and solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysis
• Contribute to project planning and requirements gathering.
• Write Python scripts to automate repetitive tasks or small-scale processes.
• Develop tools or utilities for data cleaning, transformation, and reporting.
• Test and debug automation scripts to ensure reliability

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in Python or any other object-oriented language
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters STEM program (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.)
• Knowledge of external libraries such as requests and pandas
• Basic understanding of cloud computing tools like AWS or Azure
• Basic understanding of HTTP and status codes
• Self-starter
• Motivated to learn
• High EQ and communication skills
• Coachable and able to manage several different tasks and priorities

The hourly rate  for this position is $15.00 per hour. Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
