The Graphic Design intern will work closely with the Director of Media and other various members of the organization and be involved in the day-to-day graphic/visual elements of the Indoor Football League. They will gain valuable insight into various aspects of a professional sports league. This individual will support the team in telling the story of our brand through visually impactful, culturally relevant, and cutting-edge design.

The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a consistent structure, can-do attitude, and top-notch creative execution. Moreover, this individual must take initiative independently and manage ambiguity while embodying the vision, mission, and core values of the Indoor Football League.

This is an unpaid internship, which will last from approximately February through August. The internship is a remote role that will require the successful candidate to work flexible hours, including at weekends.Β 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design graphics for social media platforms.Β 
  • Create engaging visuals for marketing campaigns and brand storytelling.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to brainstorm and execute creative content ideas.
  • Assist in designing assets for website banners.
  • Help produce short-form video content by creating motion graphics or editing templates (if applicable).
  • Stay updated on design trends and contribute fresh ideas to elevate the League’s visual presence.
  • Organize and maintain a library of design assets, ensuring accessibility for the team.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment
  • Follow brand guideline specifications and ensure consistency on quality during publishing

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Enrolled as a student with a focus on Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their unique design needs.
  • A keen eye for detail, composition, and typography.
  • Ability to take direction, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous graphic design projects (social media-focused work is a bonus).
  • Comfort editing imagery or video into assets for social media posts
  • Must have basic understanding of football
  • Must have excellent communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Ability to provide own equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
