What this role is about:
RapidSOS’s Summer Internship program is a full-time, fully immersive internship program designed to complement your education with real-world experience. This program will allow you to take on projects at a rapidly growing start-up, working closely and cross-functionally with leaders throughout the company. This is an amazing opportunity to not only join a rising and dynamic startup but also make a measurable impact. 

As an intern on the Implementation Engineering team, you will tackle operational and technical challenges by designing AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency. From developing tests for quality assurance to contributing to implementations and enhancing internal collaboration tools by using AI, you’ll gain hands-on experience with engineering techniques and client-facing processes. This role is perfect for self-starters with a passion for AI, programming experience, and a commitment to excellence. What you’ll do: 

• Support RapidSOS in its growth and development by working with your mentor on relevant key project(s) involving AI 
• Research, explore, and design AI-driven solutions to solve technical and operational challenges 
• Develop and enforce criteria for code logic to ensure standard practices, system accuracy and detect potential issues, supporting robust engineering processes
• Shadow and contribute to implementation efforts, gaining exposure to advanced engineering techniques and client-facing processes
• Contribute to enhancing internal systems to support cross-functional collaboration and long-term client satisfaction
• Assist the team with additional ad hoc tasks across services such as AWS, Redis, and Jenkins

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate: 

• Actively working towards a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree, ideally majoring in Computer Science or business
• Knowledge of and experience with at least one programming language (Python is ideal)
• Strong interest in AI and has experience with prompt engineering or incorporates AI in daily life 
• Highly self-motivated and adaptable with a strong work ethic, laser-sharp attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence
• Ability and appetite to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently, depending on the nature of the work
• No ego - our team believes in “purpose over pride” where no task is beneath us

Nice-to-have experience (but not required!):

• Experience or knowledge of AWS, Redis, and Jenkins
• Experience using Asana, Salesforce, or Jira

Starting pay for a successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include experience, relevant skills, training, education, location, business needs, or market demands. The compensation range for this role is $1,200 per week.
