Job DescriptionThe creation of new business(es) is inherently contextual. As such, the most beneficial entrepreneurial programming ensures that common barriers are removed to ensure that every individual can participate. Our goal at the Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Design, housed in ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business, is to be the driving force behind making entrepreneurialism accessible to, and relevant for, every student, staff, and faculties individual journey through the creation and scale of an inclusive environment.
The driving force behind our approach is our skilled and dedicated Management Intern. To ensure that our team continues to thrive, we are searching for a qualified individual who is ready to develop, instigate, and maintain world class entrepreneurial programming.Â
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: This position is based on a 40 hour/week schedule. Hours and schedules will fluctuate based on programmatic requirements and availability.

Essential DutiesThe ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable with managing multiple programs simultaneously. This dynamic role will include, but is not limited to:
- Overseeing and directing the logistics of event planning, implementation, and follow-up; this includes all aspects of event coordination such as invitations and marketing collateral materials, guest list production, communications, tracking RSVPs, registration, community relations, soliciting event partnerships, event set-up and breakdown, along with guest and donor stewardship such as writing thank you letters, among other duties
- Coordinating meetings (Zoom and in-person), through the preparation of agenda items and materials to meet objective targets and deadlines; perform follow-up as needed
- Developing and participating in stakeholder meetings/presentations, supporting this Center’s entrepreneurial model while providing strategic recommendations for programmatic success and management. This may include recording meeting activities, maintaining files of expectations, discussions, agreements, and outcomes
- Serving as an administrative resource to Center-related faculty and staff during development, review, and submission of grant applications and other proposals for project funding
- Actively contributing to new academic program proposals along with managing implementation time frames, procedures for accomplishing project objectives, along with aligning, and assigning resources to various phases of the project, and ensuring quality and timely delivery
- Creating methods to effectively gather programmatic data, assist with the data gathering and initial analysis process, and propose data-supported programmatic improvements under direction of the Center leadership
- Serving as a primary and secondary liaison for internal and external constituents regarding status of projects and resource requirements as appropriate
- Working directly with supervisors to prioritize and manage time-sensitive initiatives; and serving as a primary or secondary program-specific liaison between multiple stakeholders across the University ecosystem (including academic units, staff, other Centers, and University partners) as well as outside of the University (including strategic partners, alumni, mentors, and donors)
- Monitoring shared team mailboxes to process and/or route incoming requests and inquiries
- Leading peers, and mentoring student workers as needed
