Catbird is filling an exciting role for a customer strategy MBA associate, reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications. The ideal candidate will be available for a 2 month semester based project, with a flexible start date in Winter 2025.
They will partner closely with our marketing, merchandise, and CX teams to conduct research and translate our customer data – supporting 2025 priorities for enhancing the Catbird customer experience.

Schedule: 3 days a week, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

This is a remote position with the option to work from our Brooklyn, NY HQ if desired.

    • Analyze CRM data, customer service feedback, customer purchase behavior, and survey insights to build out the following: 
    • Streamlined customer dashboards for ongoing and ad hoc analysis
    • Summary of key insights and actions to wider team 
    • Automated reporting in Catbird’s BI platform, Looker
    • Partner with marketing to set up flow for a quarterly customer focus group
    • Define additional metrics and tracking to measure Catbird’s retention health and brand heat 
    • Identify shifts within our customer behavior and relevant actions to drive growth 
    • Build upon our existing core customer demographics with up-to-date insights across purchase behavior, product affinity, and psychographic data

Our Ideal Candidate

    • Current MBA candidate 
    • Past corporate strategy, consulting, or CRM experience is a big plus! 
    • Strong data analytics and qualitative skills
    • Deep experience in analytics platforms (Looker, Google Analytics)  
    • Experience with customer research methods –  including coding and deploying surveys, and social listening
    • Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies 
    • A strong communicator who enjoys collaborating with small, cross functional teams
    • A passion for the Catbird brand and sustainability mission a deep plus!
Compensation: $4,000/month

In lieu of an hourly wage, students can pursue an Independent Project and receive school credit.
