Position Overview:
The PLL is looking for a seasonal merchandise operations intern  to directly assist the Merchandise Operations Manager and team on all of PLL’s onsite merchandise operations. The ideal candidate exhibits a high level of work ethic  and will have prior experience working within the event merchandise space, is highly analytical and organized, and is driven by the opportunity to build, daily puzzle-solving, and finding opportunities for continuous improvement. This role will require travel for 14 weekends in-season (June to September).
 
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working within retail
  • Able to be moving for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Demonstrated ability to be detailed oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency with excel and google sheets 
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with setup / breakdown of event setup onsite
  • Optimize onsite assortment with the goal of maximizing revenue
  • Assist with diligently managing end-to-end inventory processes to minimize onsite shrinkage and maximize integrity
  • Assist in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
  • Collaborating with fellow team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized at all times
  • Familiarity with POS (point of sale) systems and the ability to learn new technologies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills

Extra Credit:
  • Experience working in sports
  • Experience building out shoppable physical infrastructures

COMPENSATION:
  • Current Minimum Wage, dependent on location
  • All travel paid
