What you will do

As a Summer Associate, you are not just an intern – you are a crucial part of the consulting team. At GEP you will: 

  • Gain core consulting skills across the full project lifecycle. 
  • Develop strategic sourcing and process improvement solutions, from research to implementation. 
  • Work with clients on purchasing strategies, supply chain management, and technology implementation. 
  • Support digital transformation, change management, and cost reduction initiatives. 
  • Analyze data, generate proposals, and create deliverables. 
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and senior stakeholders. 
  • Contribute to firm building via our Employee Communities intellectual capital and business development. 

What you should bring

Requirements: 

 

  • Undergraduate candidates graduating in the 2025-2026 academic year (rising seniors) only. 
  • Full US work rights (Green Card or US Citizen); must possess no later than Jan 1 2025.
  • Interns may have the opportunity to convert to a full-time role in 2026. Full-time roles are Hybrid and based in either our Chicago, IL or Clark, NJ/New York, NY offices. 
  • It is recommended that Interns are based near either our Chicago, IL or Clark, NJ/New York, NY office to get the most out of their internship experience, however this is not a requirement. 
  • Remote role with travel in week 1 (Early June 2025) and week 10 of the internship. 
  • Candidates pursuing bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or other STEM fields preferred with GPA of 3.3 or above. 
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Academic, extracurricular, or work experience in business or relevant industries. 
  • Highly motivated team player with autonomy and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. 
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
