Fluence Corp. is seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer Intern to join our Municipal Water and Wastewater Business. Β This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn and apply emerging technology in the wastewater treatment process, specifically focusing on nutrient removal. Β The role will expose the intern candidate to the market of municipal wastewater treatment solutions, and competition and give experience in helping introduce and adopt a new solution to a challenging market. The intern will engage with potential clients, evaluate their suitability, and develop relationships that are supposed to generate collaboration and a sale at client sites. The position will require collaboration with engineering, and sales managers internally too.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand a new technology for nutrient removal in wastewater treatment and the best way to apply and integrate it in different situations.
- Conduct calls with potential clients from a provided database.
- Evaluate client suitability and potential for developing a relationship.
- Collaborate with the team to understand client needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Create engagement of clients and assist in the development of a roadmap to sell a project.
Skills & Experience:Β
- Undergraduate or Graduate Student in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Background in business intelligence and market analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and biological treatment methods preferred.
- The ability to work independently remotely from the supervisor with a pre-defined set of goals and targets.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds and across different.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the needs of each client and different approaches to set an engagement between client and Fluence.
- Collaborating effectively with teams and departments within Fluence.
Expectations to be Successful in Role/Key Success Factors
- Create a potential for 3 pilots to a sales engagement with different clients in the aimed territories.Β
