Tax Intern

SF Bay Area Salary Range: $27/hr - $29/hr; Offered compensation will be adjusted for remote employees, based on the cost of living and market rate in their area of residence. 

Employment Duration: Early-Mid January 2025 - End of Peak Busy Season (around April 15, 2025)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in tax preparation, research, and compliance, providing an excellent foundation for a career in tax and accounting. You will work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to a variety of tax-related tasks and challenges.

Tax Interns at our firm . . .

  • Assist in the preparation of individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns;
  • Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws;
  • Organize and analyze financial data to support tax calculations and planning;
  • Review and reconcile tax documentation for accuracy and completeness;
  • Support team members with special projects, such as tax audits or planning strategies; and
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

What does it take to work as a Tax Intern at LvHJ?

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel;
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
