Position Overview
The Players League is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Baseball Operations Intern. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to work directly alongside the CEO of The Players League and gain hands-on experience in baseball league management. The intern will play a vital role in managing statistical records, coordinating awards and All-Star events, and maintaining league operations across multiple affiliated leagues.
Responsibilities
- Statistical Oversight
- Investigate and approve all statistical adjustments submitted during the season.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of player and team statistics.
- Awards and Honors Management
- Organize weekly and annual award submissions and voting processes across all leagues.
- Coordinate All-Star Game submissions, voting, and selections for participating leagues.
- Game Results and Schedule Management
- Enter game scores into the Leagueβs website daily, using data from GameChanger.
- Upload and manage league schedules in GameChanger for seamless league operations.
- League Coordination
- Work closely with the Old North State League (ONSL) and Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League (GNCBL), under The Players League umbrella.
- Collaborate with league staff, team managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely communication of league activities.
- Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the CEO on league operations and special projects.
- Participate in regular check-ins and meetings to discuss tasks, goals, and ongoing projects.
Qualifications
- Passion for baseball and a strong understanding of the sportβs statistics and operations.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines remotely.
- Proficiency in digital tools, including GameChanger, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace.
- Prior experience with sports organizations (preferred but not required).
