Global Diversity & Inclusion Intern

DEPARTMENT

Member Relations

REPORTS TO

Director of Alumni Engagement & Student Success

FLSA STATUS

Non-exempt, part-time, maximum 21 hours per week, but flexible based on intern’s needs and interests

COMPENSATION

$17.50/hour

INTERNSHIP DATES

One semester with potential to extend an additional semester

The Global Diversity & Inclusion Intern will support ISEP’s strategic goals of fostering a diverse Education Abroad community and keeping students at the center of our work. The Intern will assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives at ISEP.

PRINCIPAL RELATIONSHIPS 

IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility) Chair and Co-Chair, Director of Marketing and Communications, Director of Enrollment Management, HBCU Taskforce Chair, Director of Alumni Engagement and Student Success

Key Job Responsibilities

The intern’s projects may vary based on their own interest and experience. Preferred projects and responsibilities include:
 

  • Working with the Director of Alumni Engagement to foster a highly engaged alumni community that can serve as mentors for other ISEP students
  • Collaborating with Marketing & Communications to produce student content from diverse perspectives and ensure website and event accessibility
  • Producing and facilitating student focus groups for program feedback
  • Developing DEI surveys and analyzing results
  • Assisting in the creation and evaluation of digital DEI resources for the ISEP Community
  • Participation in bi-weekly and monthly departmental staff meetings
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of prior undergraduate studies
  • Strong command of English
  • Interest and experience in diversity, inclusion, equity, and accessibility
  • Strong research and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
     

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Office365 or Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current or former ISEP study abroad experience


This internship is geared towards candidates who are proactive and enjoy working independently in a collaborative environment. Interns will gain meaningful hands-on experience while developing new skills and having the opportunity to build connections across our global ISEP Community.
