MADE Hoops is the premier grassroots youth basketball events organization, hosting over 100 boys and girls basketball events in North America. Our programs offer elite competition, high-level coaching, professional event management, and extensive media coverage.

Job Overview:
The Merchandise Content and Marketing Intern will support the marketing and content teams in creating and managing content that promotes the company’s products and merchandise. This role provides the opportunity to gain experience in content creation, social media marketing, and e-commerce merchandising, while contributing to campaigns that drive sales and brand engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and creation of engaging content for product listings, including descriptions, features, and benefits for the website and e-commerce platforms.
  • Support the team in managing content on social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), including posting product photos, videos, and promotional content.
  • Help curate and organize product images, videos, and assets for online marketing and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create visually compelling content (graphics, banners, and digital ads) for use on digital platforms.
  • Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including writing copy, designing layouts, and segmenting audiences.
  • Conduct research to identify trends and audience preferences to inform content strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance on various platforms to suggest optimizations and improvements.
  • Assist in tracking product performance metrics (sales, engagement, etc.) and compiling reports.
  • Support influencer outreach and collaboration efforts to amplify product visibility and brand messaging.
  • Assist in the creation of blog posts, articles, or other written content related to merchandise or brand initiatives.
  • Help ensure all product content is aligned with brand guidelines and maintains consistency across all platforms.

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, e-commerce, and content creation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
  • Basic experience with content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, or email marketing tools (e.g., Klayvio).
  • Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, digital marketing strategies, and online merchandising best practices.
  • Experience or familiarity with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
  • Previous internship or experience in marketing, social media, or content creation.
  • Experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics or other digital performance tools.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Shopify, Etsy, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with video editing or graphic design.
