Job Description

The Advanced Defense Development Corporation is seeking a Special Investigations Intern. This position will be assigned to the Facility Security Office, supporting investigators and analysts in general investigative duties and observing all aspects of the investigative process. Interns may be placed into special assignment areas such as insider threat, intelligence, physical security, general crimes, cybersecurity, and assigned a variety of other special tasks. 

This is an unpaid internship, however Interns will be supported in obtaining college credit.

Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: 

  • Be a student who is enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled in Spring 2024
  • Be majoring in or having majored in a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Investigations, Intelligence, or a security-related field 
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher. 
  • Be available to work part-time (10 hours per week minimum) during Spring 2024
  • Be eligible to obtain an Access Determination from facility security (Completion of substance abuse exam and full background investigation) 
  • Be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Recent relevant experience in academic project, coursework, internship or work experience 
  • Participation in previous law enforcement program such as cadet, internship, reserve, etc 
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
