Overview






JerseySTEM has exciting unpaid internship opportunities for individuals interested in 20 hour/week commitment for at least one month. The Intern will be responsible to work on projects relevant to JerseySTEM mission to deliver after school enrichment classes to underserved kids. Internships are in any of the following fields:

- Computer Sciences

- Data Analytics

- Business Analysis

- Marketing

- Curriculum Development and Teaching

- Finance

- Non Profit Management

- Grant Writing

- Social Media

 

If you have a college degree or a Master's, are interested in having an impact on students' lives and willing/able to commit 20 hours/week, then send us your resume.

Responsibilities






 

  • As a member of the department you will join, you will be assigned activities supporting projects the department is working on.
  • is expected to be professional while dealing with people and customers at all times.
  • You will be responsible to report to the assigned manager in writing every day a short update on the work you are conducting.
  • You are expected to report to the department head or HR if you are unable to connect with your manager as it was agreed. 
  • During your internship shift, you are expected to be connected to the JErseySTEM email and Slack system.

 

Time Commitment 

  • 20 Hours weekly
  • Interns choose either the morning (9am-1pm EST), afternoon (12pm-4pm EST) or evening (3pm-7pm EST) shift. Exceptions apply to accommodate job interviews.
  • Minimum One month. Agreement renewed month to month per mutual agreement

  • This position is  remote

Qualifications






  • A college degree or a Master's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Willingness to learn and work on given projects without continuous supervision
  • Your academic background should be related to the department function 
  • Should be comfortable working in a ‘virtual organization’ with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
