The Chapter Relations Intern position resides in the Chapter Relations department at SCTE. This department supports the membership of SCTE including the 60+ chapters of the society. Our team plays a crucial role in connecting members, helping members with their career goals and putting members in conversations that grow the cable industry. 

Why This Internship Is Exciting

You will learn association management including chapter/component operations, building community and strengthening communications.  You will understand some of the tools that assist chapters such as AMS, QuickBooks, Handbooks and Templates.

What You’ll Do

• Create tools, templates and resources that will assist Chapter Leaders in running the local chapters.
• Update content such as chapter leader webpages, handbooks or chapter success stories.
• Analyze and update chapter demographic data.      
• Compile Award Nominations, making sure that nominations contain all required items.  Track committee voting progress and winner results. 

What Is a Must Have

• Currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program, preferred concentrations in Communications or Business degree specializing in public relations.   
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Maintain an organized record-keeping system

What Will Set You Apart 

• Association/Non-profit or Cable related experience
• Experience with Smartsheets, web content writing  
• Creative and self-motivated.
